Pines Nursing Home Owners and Staff
Where do I begin but by saying thank you. It is so
difficult to put into words the gratitude I have towards all of you at Pines
Nursing Home. In my time of need, vulnerability, and uncertainty you opened your
doors right away and tried to make the entire experience of putting Mami into a
nursing home as painless as possible.
The transition that my life was about to take as
well as hers would be a long and sometimes unbearable experience but you stood
by us as though part of the family. I was unaware how bad her Alzheimer's would
get yet you helped me learn and cope with the changes and always reassuring me I
was doing the right thing.
The time and dedication you put into taking care of
my mother was something out of this world and your patience and knowledge on how
to care for her was unbelievable. Pines Nursing Home was not just a nursing home
but it was her home and you always made sure it felt as though it was.
Celebrating birthdays and different holidays always
put me at ease, to know she still could enjoy in the small things. I could
always feel the love everyone had for her and you all have made a footprint in
my heart that will last a lifetime. I think overall, with all the stories you
here and the stigmatism that lingers over nursing homes, you have broken that
stereotype and consistently made me feel that my decisions of putting her in a
nursing would be the best thing.
Thank you for taking care of my mother and being
there all the way through the end and even to consul me through her funeral.
Sincerely, Judith Alvarez
